sidux vs kubuntu

both kde4.4.3 desktops on the very same system (hardware) - almost the
same config.

sidux is much more responsive .. on my sdd, apps start almost
immediately in sidux.. on kubuntu i see a bouncing cursor..  i found
that very interesting because i can not think of any cause of this
notice...
