thanks for responding to my bug. i am using 3g usb optus e620/e169 device.
gnome automatically sees it and loads the installation procedure. can use it
straight away. i wasn't sure if i required kppp(it has similar setting
inputs to gnome) but kppp seems to be more for old dial-up modems. in kde i
can go to system and it sees the optus usb device but i am unable to find
the software that auto sees the device then starts the install procedure. i
can use terminal but dont know the lines to write to install it that way.
sorry if my explanation is long winded!
