Goh Lip,

Please post exactly what you have now as your plymouth.conf file.  After
editing, the file you have should look like the one attached; I suspect
that you commented out the wrong line and broke the syntax of the
upstart job instead.  If yours is different, please retest with the one
I've attached here.
