[Bug 511402] [NEW] kaffeine does not recognise cdrom

Binary package hint: kaffeine

absolute novice granny here.Tearing out my grey hair. installed karmic
koala 9.10 from downloaded and burned cd, thought I installed the
additions needed to play dvd- but now the cdrom is invisible and also-
no sound.

I'd be grateful for any advice. Be kind to an old lady. She will knit
you some cyber-socks.

  Is there a site with screenshots showing step-by-step stages?I have
the handbook 4th edition but more impressed by what I read in the
forums.
