[Bug 509686] [NEW] add a new submenu, give it an icon from anther place, say /opt/icons/ (put some icon in that freshly made directory)

and then it just hangs often, when i try to save, the saving percent
repeat from 5 to 95 %, and keep repeating until interrupted by the user.
