[Bug 503610] [NEW] kdm doesn't start due to upstart/hal dependency

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

The kdm Upstart job starts on "started hal", but hal is no longer an
Upstart job.  Removing that line from /etc/init/kdm.conf makes kdm start
again.

Is there any reason why kdm would need hal, now that X doesn't?
