Thanks for the patch ! I've reassigned to the good package.
It would be nice if somebody could get this one packaged in lucid and karmic-updates or -backports :)

  Using an uptodate Karmic, amd64 arch.
  
  I have configured Kmail to display messages in the indicator display
  widget using https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KarmicKoala/ConfigureIndicators.
  The widget detects correctly that Kmail is running.
  
  When I receive a new mail, the icon of the widget doesn't change (no
  yellow spark) but when I click on it, I can see that there is indeed a
  new mail in the Kmail section. This is working with Kopete though, so it
  may be related to kmail patches for indicators instead of the widget
  itself ?
