Public bug reported:

Using Konqueror as file manager. Using expandable folders. I click the
+ on one file to select it. I click another file in the range while
holding down shift. I expect that all files in the range will be
selected. Instead 1-3 files at the top, including the original
selection, are unselected. Sometimes, a few folders adjacent to the
original selection are selected as extra. This behavior occurs about
80% of the time.
