I'm not sure I understand your previous comment fully.  Can you add and
remove addressbook entries?  Does it save entries successfully when
closing and restarting KAddressBook?

The address book contains address entries that you don't know the source
of?  Was it this file you added for the address book
/home/user/.kde/share/apps/kabc/std.vcf ?  Does that file contain the
mystery address entries?  What happens when you delete the mystery
entries?
