[Bug 625133] [NEW] Icons in Kate appear to be missing

The File icons in the Kate editor seem to be missing.

I have tried to track down the open() syscalls with strace, however with
little to no success at all...

A screenshot showing the missing icons, and the icon of a modified file,
whose icon is showed properly, is attached.
