A splash-screen, is there to give you status information about its
loading progress, not to hide glitches/ errors in a program.

I'm having this problem with my lenovo thinkpad, it has an intel ssd in
it, and boots to the desktop in less then 5sec (rather 3.5 / 4m from the
post-screen) the splash-screen delays it until everything is fully
loaded, and that is annoying because i could already have started with
things that are loaded.
