[Bug 539191] Re: ALSA default output dissapears after I use a usb-soundcard

My computer can end up in two "modes", one where the multimedia settings
in kde shows only "ALSA default output" and "OSS default output", and in
the other mode, kde multimedia settings shows the real name of my audio
devices, such as "HDA Intel (ALC269 Analog)". Its in the first mode that
the kde gets confused when I plug in my USB-soundcard. The "ALSA default
output" never shows up anymore and I cant play sound in kde apps. Note
that non-kde apps still works, regardless of which "mode" that my
computer ends up in.

I have noticed that the lenovo_acpi module has something to do with this problem. When I remove that module the computer seems to end up in the "good" mode every time. But when that module is enabled the computer can end up in both modes, but after I switched to Lucid it always ends up in the bad mode when that module is loaded.

The lenovo_acpi module is a module from the ubuntu forums that disables
the discrete graphics card in the computer. The discrete graphics card
also has a hdmi sound output, so I suppose thats the reason why this
module affects the sound system.
