[Bug 460776] [NEW] Akonadi can't start

Public bug reported:

Akonadi pops up a window upon startup and then complains in a window
when it can't start.  Attached is the log the window suggested I save,
below are my investigations from trying to run it manually.

I've read the KDE Akonadi UserBase article
(http://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi) but this does not seem to be any of
those problems, or at the very least I can't tell.  The process seems to
die with a whole bunch of these:

"akonadiserver" crashed too often and will not be restarted!


The only thing I can easily spot is that there IS no /home/riedel/.local/share/akonadi/db_misc/mysql.socket but the rest exists.

Perhaps the Kubuntu Karmic mysql database is not the right version?
