Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kpackagekit

When downloading new packages kpackagekit is resizing the progress
dialog with every new package (the width of the dialog is determined by
the length of the package name). When doing an update where a lot of
packages are downloaded the dialog gets resized sometimes every second.

The size of the dialog should not be constantly updated.
