Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: plasma-widget-networkmanagement

nm-applet works OK in Karmic, but plasma-widget-networkmanagement still can't connect to mobile broadband. When clicking on a correctly configured mobile broadband, there is no visual information on screen that something is happening. And there is nothing happening in logs either. In config file no baud is set which is odd:
[serial]
baud=0
bits=0
parity=
senddelay=0
stopbits=0

daemon.log spits out:
NetworkManager: <WARN>  user_connection_get_settings_cb(): user_connection_get_settings_cb: Invalid connection: 'NMSettingSerial' / '(null)' invalid: 3

Which probably is related.

This is a big show stopper since it wasn't working OK in jaunty either.
Please, please investigate before release.

** Affects: plasma-widget-networkmanagement (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
