Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: plasma-widgets-workspace

The taskbar widget displays duplicate entries or entries of windows that
don't exist anymore.

After working for a while, switching windows and desktops multiple
times, windows that I used often suddenly show up twice in the Taskbar.
The exact action that provokes the emergence of these duplicate entries
is hard to spot, i suspect it happens upon switching desktops.

Both entries will raise the same window when clicked. Duplicate entries
will sometimes show up on different desktops than the window, even
though the taskbar is set to display windows of the current desktop
only. Also, these duplicate entries will not group with other entries of
the same program when the taskbar fills up.

When a window with multiple entries in the taskbar is closed, only one
entry disappears and I'm left with an nonfunctional entry taking up
space. When right clicking on it, the 'close' option is sometimes
disabled, sometimes not. Clicking it never causes anything to happen.
The only way to get rid of these unwanted entries seems to be to remove
the taskbar from the panel and re-add it.
