[Bug 482092] [NEW] knetworkmanager doesn't connect automatically or manually

I have one wireless connection stored, and one mobile broadband
connection stored. Both are set to connect automatically.

In 9.04 both worked, but after upgrade to 9.10, the connections remain
stored, but do not connect automatically, and the applet does not
respond to clicks to activate either connection. Upgrading to 2.6.31-15
did not help, nor did linux-backport-modules.

The HSDPA modem (E169) will activate with sudo pon/poff.

The ethernet connection will connect automatically using the applet.

Using Kubuntu 9.10.
