Danilo, author of coment #132 may be right. I upgraded the bios to 10.E
version and used a older version of the kernel (2.6.28-16-generic
#55-Ubuntu) and the flickering stopped. So the problem may be the
kernel. This is not a prefect solution, because the performance is slow,
but not unusable, like the solution given in the release notes.
