Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdeutils

I am using Kubuntu 9.10 and kgpg 4.3.2.

When I click on the default installed icon on the K menu, or type "kgpg"
into Konsole, the application fails to start.

The K menu entry has "kgpg %U", and when clicked a tab appears in the K
bar for a few seconds and then disappears. If I run "ps -e" while the
tab is there I do see a kgpg process running until the tab disappears.
If I type "kgpg" directly into Konsole, I get no output.

I am able to run kgpg as sudo (but this saves config and key files with
root permissions), it gives the following output in the Konsole:

somebody at somewhere:~$ sudo kgpg
[sudo] password for somebody:
Error: "/var/tmp/kdecache-somebody" is owned by uid 1000 instead of uid 0.
Error: "/tmp/kde-somebody" is owned by uid 1000 instead of uid 0.
QSystemTrayIcon::setVisible: No Icon set

If I change the K menu entry to "kgpg -k" or enter that command directly
into Konsole the application runs, but there is no tray icon / menu,
just the key manager.

 and if I change the K menu entry to "kgpg -k" it works fine.
