Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: amarok
Amarok isn't switching to the next track in playlist.
With a fresh install of Kubuntu 9.10, Amarok stopped playing after every
track.
Configuration at the time was:
Audio Output: NVidia CK8 with ALC655 (NVidia CK8)
1.ALSA: x-phonon
2.ALSA: plughw
3.OSS: /dev/audio
4.OSS: /dev/dsp
Backend: xine 0.2.60
Issue bypassed after installing packages pulseaudio, pavucontrol, and phonon,
and switching audio output to PulseAudio
As for reproducing...
Attempting to revert Audio Output to NVidia CK8 after installing pulseaudio gives error "The
audio playback device Nvidia CK8 with ALC655 (NVidia CK8) does not work.
Falling back to PulseAudio.", which was an issue I originally had with
PulseAudio before installing the packages.
I reported it to Amarok, they say its a downstream issue.
