Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kpackagekit

kubuntu 9.04
investigating kdevelop initialising index did not happen
thought to reinstall in adept saw kdevelop4 which seemed to be what i wanted with kde 4
uninstalled kdevelop and install kdevelop4
kdevelop4 did not at all match the handbook so decided to revert kdevelop
Adept failed to do this so tried kpackagekit
that said it had found a bug so i wound up here
