Hello,

the same problem, first use of newly installed kaffeine in jaunty i386
system, nVidia, GeForce4 MX 440.

I've tried a little script to work around:

gconftool-2 --type boolean -s /apps/gnome-screensaver/idle_activation_enabled false
kaffeine %U
gconftool-2 --type boolean -s /apps/gnome-screensaver/idle_activation_enabled true

but it still failed.
