Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: amarok

Whenever I use amarok, even from the 1.x days, I create a playlist but I
listen to the music in it with Playlist>Random>Tracks enabled. For some
reason, with Amarok 2, even with that option enabled, it just keeps on
moving to the next item in the queue instead of picking out a random
track to play. IIRC, when I was trying out the Amarok2 betas when I was
using Intrepid, this was working properly.

Anyway, details:

Description:	Ubuntu 9.04
Release:	9.04
