Same behaviour with a local addressbook, databse of about 1200 entries, *.vcf format imported. The larger the dataset, the longer it takes to filter, it hangs easily for about 30 seconds here, hanging starts when I begin to type a search entry.
Scrolling in an unfiltered book is slow too.

This used to work fine in Intrepid about 4 months ago when I last did
some filtering in the addressbook itself.
