This bug is in KDE 3.5.10 (probably earlyer) not in kde >4. Ubuntu 8.04
LTS (mind the LTS) does not include KDE 4.

  The program doesn't automatically update from "processing" to "done"
  after having printed a job. The cups status listed in localhost:631 is
  however updated timely.
