Exactly the same here, it's reproducible by me.  Using Jaunty with
Amarok 2.0.2 (which uses KDE 4.2.2).  I've tried reinstalling everything
to do with amarok that I can find (including the various xine libs)
reinstalling amarok.  I've not tried to reinstall KDE as that seems a
bit extreme.  It doesn't seem to matter if the music is in my collection
or not, I can't add them from the filesystem either.  My music is on a
mix of local drives and NFS drives, but it doesn't seem to make any
difference where the music is located.

I can't see anything in /var/log/messages and there doesn't seem to be
an amarok specific log.  I've got all my sound set to auto-detect, I've
tried using pulseaudio but that makes no difference.
