[Bug 371500] [NEW] KDM session screen does not show after logging out of Kubuntu session

I'm using Kubuntu Jaunty stable. Intermittently, when I log out of my
KDE session, the KDM login screen will fail to display. I will see a
plain black screen, and as Ctrl-Alt-Backspace has been disabled, I can't
restart the X-server either.

Using a Compaq V3000 series laptop with the following configuration:

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     T5450  @ 1.66GHz
3GB RAM
The only xorg.conf option turned on is Option          "AccelMethod" "UXA" (everything default otherwise)
