[Bug 371360] Re: Amarok doesn't use Gnome sound settings

Well, of course I understand the underlying logic, but I think it is a
technical argument. From a user perspective, every app should obey the
window manager specific audio settings from which it is launched. Maybe
I should call this report a wish? (and should therefore have the status
wishlist?)

I still think the audio configuration should be accessible if a audio
program is installed. As I don't see my wish implemented very soon (if
ever), kdebase-workspace should be installed if the amarok package is
installed. In my case, Amarok defaulted to a digital output which I
never use. The setting could not be changed. As Amarok is one of the
programs which could cause a Windows user to switch to Ubuntu, this
behavior is not desired (although very understandable).
