[Bug 371360] [NEW] Amarok doesn't use Gnome sound settings

I use Ubuntu Jaunty. My desktop environment is Gnome. I'm running Amarok
2:2.0.2mysql5.1.30-0ubuntu3.

I installed Amarok 2 in Jaunty, by running 'sudo aptitude install
amarok'. As I love Amarok, it is my default audio player inside my
Ubuntu Jaunty (running Gnome). However, there is no way to configure the
audio output; inside Amarok, there is no option (this was possible in
version 1.4, but disappeared in the new Amarok 2).

Amarok seems to rely on the KDE Phonon backend. So, the only option to change the audio output is to install the package kdebase-workspace and run 'systemsettings'. Inside the multimedia section, I could select pulse-audio (so the playback would not default to a digital output). 
Those packages are needed by Amarok to be able to configure one of the important parts of the program.

The correct behaviour is, that an application started inside
Ubuntu/Gnome uses the settings from System > Preferences > Sound, I
think. Otherwise, the package 'kdebase-workspace' should be added to the
dependencies of Amarok. But now, there is no possibility to control the
output device of Amarok.
