[Bug 368331] Re: kubuntu-desktop-kde3 states unmet dependencies, even after sudo apt-get -f install

My KDE4 panel later disappeared, and didn't come back, so
I went back to KUbuntu 8.04
(good thing I used partimage to back up the partition before upgrading)

One thing that suspect might have happened was that during upgrading to
9.04, I in tried to copy the terminal text by hit 'Control+C' which is
the shortcut to interrupt the process in a terminal window and NOT copy
text in a terminal window. I tried to upgrade again, it seamed to work
the second time, but maybe it didn't.

The upgrade also didn't seam to like the fact I installed a compiled compiz-fusion (0.8.2)*.
Next time, I'll back up compiz-fusion settings (CCSM->Preferences(bottom left window frame)->Profile & Backend tab->Profile->Export) then uninstall the manually installed/compiled compiz-fusion, as well as put back the start up settings, to start kwin instead.

*I think it tried to run the complied version which now didn't work, instead of the new repository version. Not sure what was really going on. I didn't really research this issue.
(typed ccsm and I think it went to /usr/local/bin/ccsm , isn't that where user compiled stuff goes?)

Oh well, back to KUbuntu 8.04, maybe I'll try upgrading again at a later
date.
