You can try
 Option "AccelMethod" "XAA"
in the Device section of your /etc/X11/xorg.conf to see if it is an EXA bug.

There will be a mesa 7.4 update soon, maybe it will help. You can
already try out an official preview of this from the xorg-edgers PPA at
https://edge.launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa

If this does not help, we should file a bug upstream at
bugs.freedesktop.org. You are welcome to do this, otherwise we can do it
for you later.
