Confirmed, but this seems to be an issue with aptitude since ubuntu-restricted-extras hast libavcoded-unstripped-52 as a recommend and aptitude installs all recommends by default. On the other hand audacity should be able to work with both packages. 
kubuntu-restricted-extras and xubuntu-restricted-extras are also affected.
