Sorry Jonathan Thomas,

I changed the package to kdebase-workspace because the problem happens only in kubuntu (KDE), in Ubuntu (Gnome) the number of interrups are normal.
If this is incorrect feel free to change the package again

  Dell XPS 1330 with intel 965 graphic card
  
  powertop reports about 70 interrups.
  3D effects are disabled
