I think i have another version of this problem. On my computer mtink
reads the ink level on my Epson C87 printer and the printer
configuration tool can see the printer but no documents print.  Python
is involved as the message is a python one (printer seems not to be
connected), and it is python that crashes. Please check the error
handling as I have found too many instances of crashes due to improper
inputs.
