Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kdebase
I'm a new KDE user so I'm not sure whether this problem is a regression
or not. I have noticed that every here and there around the desktop,
there are problems showing non-ASCII characters such as ö ä å. At some
places it works fine, such as filenames shown in either dolphin or the
folder view plasmoid. In other places, it doesn't, such as the
taskmanager plasmoid.
Here's a screenshot that shows that shows an example: https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/175461/kde-and-utf-8.png.
The word in the marked area should read "Systeminställningar".
Also, not sure whether this is against kdebase, or some other package.
Forgot to add: This is on an up-to-date Jaunty install.
** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
