Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase-plasma

I noticed that on one of my computer plasma was eating more and more memory day after day, until it fills the ram and the swap (1GiB of ram, and 1757MiB of swap !).
It does that with and without desktop effects.
I also tried to remove the composite extension.
I also tried KDE 4.1 and KDE 4.2, same thing

kdebase-plasma 4:4.2.0-0ubuntu1~intrepid1
kdeplasma-addons-data 4:4.2.0-0ubuntu1~intrepid1
libplasma3 4:4.2.0-0ubuntu2~intrepid2
xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu3
xserver-xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu3
xserver-xorg-core 2:1.5.2-2ubuntu3.00~ppa1
