You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I have set up a new Kubuntu 9.04 install. I have network connectivity
with a wired network card integrated into an Asus M2NPV-VM mainboard,
but I cannot see or configure this connection.
If I enter System Settings -> Network Settings -> Network Management
tab, I see no wired connections listed there.
Also, /etc/network/interfaces is quite empty, I only have there:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
The strange thing is that the Network Management applet (the one in the
taskbar, near the system clock) can see the connection and reports it as
working, with the correct IP.
** Affects: plasma-widget-network-manager (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
