[Bug 404000] [NEW] Editing menu entries breaks special characters

Public bug reported:

I don't know if it's related to the editor or the K-Menu itself but if I
edit any entry, all special characters (Umlaute, e.g. Ä, Ö, Ü etc) in
all entries are broken (the black rhombus with the question mark
inside). Re-naming them and fixing the characters doesn't work as
anytime I save the configuration, the characters are broken again.

Using KDE 4.2.2 with German Kubuntu 9.04
