After adding that line to my Software Sources the update loaded and
solved the  problem.

But now a new problem has arisen in that upon running Update Manager I
always get this error message:  "W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net
jaunty Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because
the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 2836CB0A8AC93F7A".

Can I now uncheck that source and expect the program update to stay
installed or no other problems to arise?
