Code-wise they are correlated it seems; and as it is fixed upstream the bug report mostly needs to act as a place-holder for now, so no need not to merge them.

It looks like the feature got left out initially when re-writing to
KDE4. And that it will re-appear in KDE4.4. Currently it is marked as a
bug, that is fixed upstream.
