Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdepim

I have my contacts stored on a kolab1 (ical/vcard) groupware type IMAP
server. When accessing them from Kontact, the encoding of non-US
character is fine. When I open klauncher, and type one of the contact
with non-US character, it is fine as well. But when I validate "Sending
mail to this contact", and kmail opens a new mail window, the encoding
is wrong. It looks like a Latin1/UTF-8 conversion problem.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/kontact
NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia
Package: kontact 4:4.2.95a-0ubuntu1~jaunty~ppa1
ProcEnviron:
 PATH=(custom, user)
 LANG=en_US.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: kdepim
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-13-generic i686
UnreportableReason: This is not a genuine Ubuntu package

** Affects: kdepim (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
