[Bug 318327] [NEW] cannot control backlight on lenovo t400 with KDE 4

A strange bug occurs while I'am running KDE 4.2 packages on Jaunty up to date and on Intrepid as well with the backported packages.
I started to use Intrepid with Gnome on my Lenovo t400 with Intrepid and the backlight was ok, even if it had some strange way to repond to the key events, at least I could manage it, and in Intrepid it is solved by just using a 2.6.28 kernel under Gnome.
But with KDE 4.2, there is no way for me to even change in any way the backlight setting, here is an extract of my dmesg , which pretty much says it should be able to change the backlight  (proof is that gnome is able):
