[Bug 313318] [NEW] LCD Weather, RSSNOW and News applets don't work

Public bug reported:

In KDE 4.2 Beta 2 packages (kdeplasma-addons 4:4.1.85), the LCD Weather,
RSSNOW and News applets don't work. They open fine on the desktop, but
none of them can retrieve any data. Running 'plasmaengineexplorer' and
looking under the category 'Weather', for example, shows that no data
engine is running. It was confirmed to me that these plasmoids work fine
in trunk.
