Kmail crashes when I attempt to send a message. The SMTP server uses TLS
for security, and crashes occur both when I attempt to send as an
authenticated and as an unauthenticated user.

The release of Ubuntu is Karmic.

The version of the package is 4:3.5.10-0ubuntu2, installed via the PPA
as described here: https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Kubuntu/Kde3/Karmic
