[Bug 490658] [NEW] Notifications timeout is too low

Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase

The default timeout for the notifications is too low. The notifications disappear almost suddenly after getting displayed.
There is no option to configure the timeout. You can choose not to automatically hide the notifications tho, but that's a bit annoying when lots of notifications are coming in.

So, either the default timeout for notifications should be increased or
there should be an option to configure the timeout imo.
