Based on the Digikam changelog it might have been solved in either 0.9.5
(KDE3) or 0.10 (KDE4) or both. Which is not very useful if you're using
hardy.

Seems like upgrading to Jaunty (which has the 0.10 version) is the only
solution. The dependencies of the 0.10 version are so complex that
backporting it would probably be difficult. I can't find a debian
package off the 0.9.5 version and trying to compile it is too
complicated as well, as this version has dependencies which are not in
the hardy repositories as well.
