Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kdebase
The folder-view widget on the desktop crashes when the mouse is hovered
over a subfolder (in that widget) without permissions. It displays an
alert window saying it could not view it and the whole desktop restarts.
If the mouse is hovered over that folder again the second time, the
desktop crashes, and does not restart, requiring a manual closure of the
xsession using ctrl+alt+backspace
