Same here. Screen 1920x1080. But background shorter x 1080. Probaly 4:3.

And the new login screen doesn't look great:

1) too blurred
2) "welcome to ..." text too blended in
3) username & password fields too apart
4) overall feeling... i don't know ... "photoshoppish", but not professional.
5) general layout of the login screen seems better though than previous version

Please forward this to those stubborn KDE developers who shouldn't made
the switch in final release but at least in the latest RC (4.2.98 packages of kubuntu).
