Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

I have set up a proxy configuration via Network-Settings->Proxy. I am
using a pac-proxy which works, because I can use konquerer to browse the
web via this proxy.

Several modules of KDE ignore these settings.
"Add or Remove Software" does not work. Trying to install a package fails, because it ignores the proxy settings (verified with wireshark)
"Software updates" same problem
"Get new Hot Stuff" fails if I try to install a new Login-Theme. It works if I try to install a new Color Scheme from the Appearance Settings.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: amd64
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia
Package: systemsettings 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu2
SourcePackage: kdebase-workspace
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-11-generic x86_64

** Affects: kdebase-workspace (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
