You'll get that error when there are no shared folders on your network.

I'd try sharing a folder to see if that helps.  One thing though. It can
take a while for the shared folder to become visible so you might have
to click refresh a few times.  Another thing.  Both Dolphin and
Konqueror 'cache' what they see on the network and will sometimes not
refresh their view of the world far quite a long time, so you might have
to quit all Dolphin or Konqueror sessions after sharing the folder
before you'll see them.
